Mike Page

Mike Page - a former Black Country Bloke from Darlaston, West Midlands, has been writing in trade and technical journalism for some 30 or so years now after serving a student apprenticeship, and as a production engineer, at GKN Sankey, Bilston and Wellington. He also served time on Iron Age, Metalworking Production, European Automotive Production, Tunnels and Tunneling and latterly, Welding and Metal Fabrication. Mike is also leading a CECIMO Manufacturing Technologies (MANTYS) taskforce looking at the future machine tool requirements of the aerospace and automotive industries. Free time is taken up with travel and railways, coupled with archaeology and hill walking - as well as enjoying good food!
