Drive modules offer system integrators flexibility
The first multiple drive system on a common DC bus is now available as Modules from ABB, for use by system integrators, panelbuilders and OEMs.
"We are now able to provide everyone, wherever they are in the UK, with equal access to any of our instrumentation products, backed by easy ordering, rapid delivery, training programmes, on-site support and ready availability of spares and repairs," says Steve Hughes, ABB Instrumentation Alliance manager.
"Every one of our partners has been trained to ensure that customers receive the same levels of support as they would if they were dealing with ABB directly." The ABB Instrumentation Alliance offers: Fast, efficient delivery to anywhere in the UK - Many products stocked by the ABB Instrumentation Alliance are part of ABB's Assist Direct programme, which guarantees that orders placed in mainland UK before 12 midday will be delivered within 24 hours.
Any items of equipment that are not stocked by one partner can be readily sourced from throughout the network.
Installation and Commissioning expertise - Each ABB Instrumentation Alliance partner is able to provide help and guidance with installing and commissioning instrumentation equipment.
Equipment health checks - ABB Instrumentation Alliance partners are able to assist with health checks on installed instrumentation equipment, the results of which can be used to draw up preventative maintenance plans and identify and rectify potential problems.
Training - An extensive range of courses are available through each ABB Instrumentation Alliance partner, covering topics such as product familiarisation and usage, installation and commissioning, fault finding and how to meet the latest relevant legislation and standards.
On-line help - the new ABB Instrumentation Alliance web site at HYPERLINK "http://www.abbiap.com/"www.abbiap.com provides information about products and services available from ABB Instrumentation Alliance partners, together with details on how to contact them.
The site can also be used to download brochures and other technical documentation and has many useful links to other ABB and external sites.
