Based at ABB in Milton Keynes, David's new role is situated in the Automation Technology Products Division.
With over 20 years experience in robotics, starting out at Cincinnati Robotics and most recently as ABB UK's Marketing Manager for Robotics Products, David aims to build on and further develop the ABB key partner channel network.
David comments: "One aspect of my role will be to develop a network of UK systems integrators and OEMs to further the uptake of robot-based automation in non-automotive industries and build the business around specific customer groups such as aerospace, food and beverages, ceramics, furniture production, building materials, life sciences and pharmaceuticals." As a leading technology company, ABB's industrial robots are one of its spearhead products demonstrating some of the world's most advanced features and capabilities.

I believe that if the UK is to continue to have a presence in global manufacturing it has to re-evaluate the role of robotics and flexible automation systems.".
