Land Rover orders 186 industrial robots
ABB, the global power and automation technologies group, has won an order with Ford's Premier Automotive Group to supply 186 industrial robots to Land Rover.
ABB, the global power and automation technologies group, announced today that it has won an order with Ford's Premier Automotive Group to supply 186 industrial robots to Land Rover Nigel Platt, ABB Account Manager, Premier Automotive Group, comments: "ABB was selected by Land Rover because we could offer world-class, leading reliability and maintainability with familiarity and connectivity all at a competitive price
It is a clear indication of the strength of the ABB brand in the automotive industry and we are looking forward to further developing our working relationship with Land Rover on this project." The ABB industrial robots will be used for welding and associated applications on Land Rover's next generation 4x4 models.
