Moulder produces syringes at Inter-plas
A 48-cavity mould will be used to produce single-use hypodermic syringes in aninjection moulder using peripheries including handling and an external cooling block.
With its three-yearly cycle, the Inter-plas in Birmingham has adapted to the K-trade fair The English equivalent of the largest plastics trade fair in the world in Duesseldorf is gaining more and more popularity internationally as the showcase of the latest technological develop-ments in plastics processing

Moulding technology and automation goes on show
Injection moulding machine builder is planning a series of Technology Days during the Fall in theUS to present the latest advances in moulding technology and automation.
Guests from the European continent are just as happy to take this opportunity to travel to England as Scandinavians or visitors from the New World and former British Commonwealth countries.
Arburg will display the latest processing technology over an area of 450 square metres with its six Allrounder s.
Two figures illustrate the significance of this trade fair on an international level: by July 2002, 650 exhibitors had already agreed to take part in the trade fair.

In 1999, the year of the last Interplas, 30,607 specialists from 87 countries visited the trade fair - these figures are also impressive for Arburg.
Therefore, it has already become a beneficial tradition for the company to clearly fly its flag with a generous trade fair stand in hall 5 (stand number 534).
This is particularly important now, with the economy bouncing back again.
Six Allrounder s will be displayed on the exhibi-tion stand, perfectly representing Arburg1s range of machines and technology.
The main focus will be on the C-series, three of which will be on display in Birmingham.
An Allrounder 520 C 1600-675 will operate with a 48-cavity mould on which single-use hypodermic syringes will be produced.
The necessary periphery will be provided by Thermolift and an external cooling block, among others.
A coat hanger will be manufactured on a machine type 420 C 1000-350 in the sandwich process by the injection of gas (GIT).
Finally, on an Allrounder 320 C 600-250 the swivelling feature of clamping and injection units will be demonstrated on the basis of the Allrounder principle.

With a clamping force of 3200kN and 2100-series injection unit, the machine will manufacture large stacking boxes to demonstrate its capacity.
Operating on an Allrounder 320 K, the large toggle-lever machine in the Arburg range, will be a Multilift H parts removal robot.
This configuration is able to demonstrate the advantages of a joint development of machine and robot technology under one roof: these being operating convenience, speed and precision of part removal.
However, the technological highlight of the trade stand will be the Allrounder 420 A 800-400, Arburg's hybrid machine.
With its modularly ex-pandable electromechanical servo drives, at the In-terplace this machine with a 64-cavity mould will pro-duce protective caps for hypoerdermic syringes for a field of application that appears to be ideal for elec-tric machines: medical hygiene.
It is thus representa-tive of the overview of machines that Arburg will be demonstrating in Birmingham.
Allrounder technology for more and more demanding customer requirements to be implemented with high quality in series production.
