* Festive opening ceremony - in his opening speech, Eugen Hehl expressed his enthusiasm for the impressive new building and thanked all those involved, especially Carlo Brouwer, managing director of Arburg BV.
On behalf of the Dutch plastics association 'Nederlands Rubber en Kunststofindustrie' (NRK), chairman Erik de Ruyter spoke of the significance of training in the plastics industry.
In his speech on the opening of the new Arburg building, Peter van Vlijmen, CEO of Helvoet Holding emphasised the need for internationally-operating suppliers and partners.
Subsequently, VIP customers were able to obtain a detailed impression of the prestigious new building as well as the five exhibited Allrounders, including two machines from the Allrounder Golden Edition anniversary series.
* New Arburg modular construction system - the new Dutch subsidiary is the first implementation of Arburg's new modular construction concept, which is characterised by a uniform building structure.
The corporate architectural concept comprises a total of three, different-sized module types, whereby the Dutch building corresponds to Arburg subsidiary type II.
The use of original Lossburg red sandstone in the facade complements the stringent overall impression, which will be implemented worldwide in future.
The overall level of investment in the Utrecht building was EUR 2.3 million, with which a total enclosed space of 6,000m3 was created.
* Open house in Utrecht - the first big customer event in the new subsidiary has already taken place, in the form of an open house during June 29-30.
In addition to the opportunity to inaugurate the new building in the company of many customers, all the training courses and several machines were also presented.
Selected presentations rounded off the open house programme each day.
