Vertical plastics moulder to be shown in China

An Arburg product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Mar 7, 2007

A vertical plastics moulding machine will be shown for the first time outside Germany at the forthcoming Chinaplas exhibition - Asia's most important plastics fair.

Arburg will once again be present with added exhibition space at Asia's most important plastics fair, the Chinaplas.

From 21 to 24 May, 2007, four Allrounders will be exhibited at the company's 186-square-metre exhibition stand.

Arburg will be presenting the new Allrounder 275 V vertical machine for the first time outside Germany at stand 1B322.

Arburg managing director sales, Helmut Heinson, highlighted the strategic importance of the Chinaplas, adding that, "With our larger stand, Arburg is clearly making its mark at Asia's most important trade exhibition".

"The significance of this fair for Arburg and the world market as a whole cannot be overstated." In keeping with its new 'Allrounder International' motto for this year, Arburg is setting its focus on international markets.

For decades, Arburg has been working to achieve its position as a leading machine manufacturer in the world market.

The annual motto effectively communicates in an internationally understandable fashion our promise of high-tech services provided by a global player in its field.

* Exhibition machines in Guangzhou - the international premiere of the new vertical Allrounder 275 V will be celebrated at the Chinaplas.

The second vertical machine after the Allrounder 175 V in the current Arburg portfolio, the exhibition machine features a clamping force of 250kN and a size 70 injection unit.

From the Golden Edition anniversary series, an Allrounder 420 C Golden Edition will also be presented.

With a clamping force of 1,000kN and a size 290 injection unit, this anniversary Allrounder will be producing a stacking box made from PP.

The electric Allrounder 420 A 1000-400 which will also be shown features a clamping force of 1,000kN and a size 400 injection unit, which allows for moulded part weights of 15 to 232g of PS.

A cup made from PP with a part weight of 8.4g will be produced in a cycle time of 2.2s on a two-cavity mould from Hofstetter.

The last of the four machines on display, an Allrounder 420 C 1000-150/150, will be running a two-component application using a thermoplastics material.

An ice scraper will be produced in a 1+1 mould from LSR and PC in a cycle time of 62s using specialised LSR processing equipment.

The shot weight for this application is 38.5g.

* Selogica for every Allrounder - three exhibition machines at the Chinaplas will be equipped with the universal Selogica control system.

Key advantages of this system are the graphic sequence editor, the logical selective operator controls and the option of fully integrating all peripherals.

The optional Selogica 'direct' system with 15in touchscreen used with the Allrounder Golden Edition exhibition machine makes data input and control of the machines and peripherals even simpler and more convenient thanks to its direct operator access.

Quick and efficient navigation is achieved simply by touching the corresponding element on the screen.

* New subsidiary opened in Shenzhen - the big event of last year, and in a sense the first international event under this year's annual motto, 'Allrounder International', was the opening of the Arburg subsidiary in Shenzhen.

With this addition, Arburg's presence in China now comprises three subsidiaries and three representations.

The Chinese subsidiaries are equipped with service areas, showrooms and a large amount of manpower, thereby ensuring customer-oriented, intensive support for the Chinese market.

From the outset, Shenzhen manager Max Man has had a team of eleven employees at his disposal in order to support this large and important region in southern China.

Additional service technicians from the Hong Kong subsidiary support the Shenzhen team.

Many plastics processing companies are based in south China, providing a great potential for high-end injection moulding technology from the Black Forest.

* About Arburg - Arburg, a German machine construction company, is one of the leading global manufacturers of injection moulding machines for plastics processing with clamping forces between 125kN and 5,000kN.
