2D code-readers offer a scalable solution
2D code-readers offer a scalable solution that enables easy transition from 1D to 2D codes, and excellent integration with third party systems.
Easy migration to 2D code reading
A brand new range of 2D code reading products will provide an inexpensive solution for businesses to migrate from the existing less robust 1D barcode methods
In addition to being suitable for these challenging surfaces, the new reader has the capability to read a wide range of marks giving users even greater value for money.
Charlie Plain-Jones, European Sales Manager at Absolute Vision, said: "The initial concept of a reader that was reliable, simple to operate and affordable was well received when we introduced the DataMouse into the market place 18 months ago.
This upgrade will maintain the core benefits but the new software will provide a more simplified operation with increased versatility." The outward appearance of the DataMouse will not change greatly as its sleek, ergonomic design has proved popular and effective with existing customers.
The reader is primarily used for 'on-the-spot' checking of information encoded on parts used during manufacturing.
The accuracy of data acquisition is vital where traceability and quality control are key elements of the process.
Operators of the hand-held system require only basic training; and the emission of an audible 'squeak' each time a code has been read provides another check in the quality control procedure.
