In hall 5, stand A 18, ABAS will, together with the sales partners present news concerning abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness) Besides multifaceted enhancements in all functional areas, the focus is on ergonomics, flexibility and upgrade capability

A broad spectrum of web applications, from Web Shop to service processing and order tracking, will be presented.

The application of the abas Business Software using Linux, which presents a very attractive alternative in the server as well as in the client area, will be a further highlight.

Web applications with abas ERP.

Many multifaceted, optional web applications for production companies are available in abas ERP, or as the case may be, for commerce in abas Trade.

Through these, the user can access the abas Business Software via the Internet.

ERP data, e.g stock level, availability, sales order status, product data, technical drawings or turnover figures, can always be accessed online.

Settings for access rights or user permissions can be exactly defined.

The design of web applications can be adapted to the existing CI (corporate identity) without any complications.

Subsidiaries, field force staff or vendors can always access up to date information, and company transparency is increased.

Possible application areas are, for example, the browser operation of abas ERP, product catalog, Web Shop, sales order tracking, service processing, customer information system, etc.

Linux as the alternative.

Besides Windows and Unix, ABAS since 1995 supports Linux in the server operation; with the Linux clients, which have been available since 2003, very positive experiences have been gained.

Over 50% of the more than 1,400 abas installations are based on Linux servers.

On the server, as well as on the client side, Linux distinguishes itself through outstanding stability and low costs.

Possible is also a mixed operation with Windows and Linux clients.

As in every year, CeBIT visitors of the abas stand (hall 5, stand A 18) can win one of the Linux mascots Tux.

ABAS will raffle four 1 meter high plush penguins and 20 penguin key rings.

The raffle will take place Monday and Tuesday (March, 22/23, 2004) at 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Functions extented and improved.

Each single functional area presents a multitude of enhancements.

At the CeBIT, ABAS introduces improvements in production/PPC, accounting and the interfaces.

Enhanced were, among others, the final costing and the scheduling.

There are also new features in group accounting, provision of material to a vendor and the cost object controlling.

Ergonomics and flexilbility.

Traditionally, ERP provider ABAS attaches great importance to ergonomics and flexibility for its proven business standard software.

With each new version improvements, which make the use of the system easier, are realized.

Whether browser based or utilizing the graphical user interface, the user decides which way he wants to operate the abas Business Software.

Another significant factor for ABAS is flexibility: With very little effort specific adaptations can be implemented, no matter whether they concern company processes and functions, screens or data base structures.

Company or industry specific customization is uncomplicated and flexible.

A guaranteed future through upgrade strategy.

Abas users can rely long-term on the further development of their business software.

A new version of abas Business Software is provided each year.

New functions and technology are always integrated into the software standard, abas users are always up-to-date.

The usefulness and value of the business software rises from year to year.

With each new version about a third of the program code is renewed, abas ERP is therefore an extremely up-to-date product which has been developed utilizing years of experience and know-how.

An upgrade is quickly implemented due to the software architecture of abas ERP.

Very important: After an upgrade the business specific program adjustments and modifications remain - individual functions are available as before.

eBusiness platform Abas eB enhanced.

Abas eB, based on the modern standard J2EE, is a development environment which offers many advantages.

Installation is easy and independent of the hardware, already existing company applications can be flexibly integrated.

The eBusiness platform offers a number of possible uses: Whether Intra or Internet, you decide the application case, from eCommerce to SCM and more.

The applications can be easily expanded and adapted to new requirements.

Through the scalability of the eBusiness solution it is a multi user system.
