Once again ABAS Software AG will be welcoming users to the annual Customer Forum in the Karlsruhe Kongresszentrum

Once again ABAS Software AG will be welcoming users to the annual Customer Forum in the Karlsruhe Kongresszentrum (conference centre).

Over 800 people from medium-sized companies from the production, trade and services sectors of industry are expected to turn up at the two day event on the 22nd and 23rd of September, 2005.

The program includes lectures and workshops regarding abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness) innovations as well as useful contributions of abas sales and cooperation partners who will take up various IT topics.

ABAS turns 25: In the introductory lecture the CEO, Werner Strub, and the COO, Peter Forscht, report on the current company activities as well as the status in the ERP market.

The company anniversary is also reason to look into the future and therefore, the focus is placed on goals and visions of the software provider.

Medium-sized businesses are more and more challenged to expand their market position by means of an appealing service.

The Internet plays an important role.

abas eB provides all the advantages of a flexible, eBusiness solution suited for medium-sized business.

Development advancements and innovations in abas eB will be presented.

Various reports on experiences will give lively insights into the use in practice.

The Web solution of the Leser has been online since July 2005.

The specialist for sophisticated packaging solutions has integrated the industry's largest online shop www.leser.de.

The Webshop of the company MED-shopping eK will also be presented.

In the course of the Customer Forum the abas users will be given an abas eB demo version using which they can test themselves the possibilities the eBusiness solution provides.

Version 2005 of the business software contains many innovations and function expansions which will be presented at the Customer Forum.

In the accounting area for example, innovations in financial accounting, materials valuation, cost accounting and international financial reporting will be presented.

Other workshops will deal with date calculation in scheduling, gross requirements determination, purchasing and sales, external production, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) as well as Web portals.

The focus is also on technical oriented topics such as abas ERP using Linux, Office connections to ERP, data backup, interfaces, configurable full text search, the print engine JasperReports, integration of abas ERP and STAS CONTROL and many more.

ABAS welcomes Prof Dipl-Oec Christoph Ewert from the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe as a guest speaker.

In his lecture "Lust auf Leistung" he will demonstrate that it is absolutely possible to master what appear to be unpleasant jobs with commitment and gratification.

In his lecture, Volker Schnittler, consultant for ERP and PPC systems from the VDMA (German association for mechanical engineering and plant construction) will talk about the way companies can be operated in a process oriented manner using key figures from the ERP system.

The ABAS Software AG partners present a wide spectrum of IT solutions which work efficiently with abas ERP.

Included subjects are liquidity in the company, the variant configurator CAP Suite, change management, Automotive, Voice over IP, connection of the DMS system EASY, advanced controlling, electronic comfort invoice, payroll, mobile data entry.
