In the ERP solutions abas ERP and abas Trade manifold web applications are now available.
Abas at IT Trade Fair in Munich Germany
In hall A1, stand 336, ABAS will, together with its sales partners, present news concerning abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness).

Manifold enhancements are available in Version 2005 of the eBusiness solution abas eB.
Order tracking and registration were added as new standard applications.
The standard application Webshop was expanded.
There are now for example multilingual brief descriptions for products and product ranges in sales, an HTML print view for the shopping cart, as well as a combined shopping cart in the menu area.
Stock journal, catalog administration and Web orders are contained as standard function components in Version 2005.
There are further new functions when logging on, for Webservices, design and when creating or processing PDF documents.
A new function of abas Business Software in the area of purchasing and sales is subcontracting, which is used for the administration of jobs which accumulate in production of semifinished products or materials provided.
The requirements determination of products to be procured has been structured in more detail.
Furthermore, it is now possible to highlight purchasing and sales items as not invoice relevant.
There are new, comfortable infosystems in the area of production: The infosystem PRODLIST is a command center which eases the management of work order suggestions.
Using the FERTIGUNG infosystem, shop floor papers can be printed with JasperReports.
To evaluate stock journal entries when using lots there is the new infosystem "BATCHTRACE" available.
Version 2005 of the abas Business Software includes new functions, messages and infosystems in the area of Electronic Data Interchange.
The packing material management has also been expanded.
The abas financial accounting provides you with multifaceted expansions such as, for example, in the cash book and in foreign payment transactions.
The preparation of the balance sheet and profit and loss on the basis of account ranges has been completed.
There are also new features in check administration, tax codes and also for different infosystems.
In order to process the reporting according to different financial report requirements within an abas ERP client (IFRS/IAS), up to five sets of books can be configured, entries can be entered and evaluated independently.
Amounts are now rounded in a currency specific manner to the recorded number of decimal places.
Thus, abas ERP is able to process all worldwide currencies correctly, be it the Hungarian Forint with zero, the Euro or US Dollar with two or the Jordan Dinar with three decimal places.
The new version provides the option to tolerate the remaining output for the indirect cost center in the framework of the IAAA.
This enables the same activity base to be used for several indirect cost centers.
Table rows of a cost center assessment can now be copied and need no longer be generated manually.
When generating work order suggestions, a cost center or a cost object is now always suggested.
The diverse evaluations are also new.
The valuation type "Production costs" is new in the abas Business Software material valuation.
Furthermore, a connection has been made from the subcontracting to the material valuation.
The two-digit valuation procedures can be recorded in the material valuation configuration.
The abas ERP basic technologies also have new features in the area of EDP/JEDP interfaces and also when configuring data exchange between abas ERP clients (MultiSite).
Version 2005 provides improvements and enhancements regarding the print topic.
There are also innovations in administration, eg the copying of clients has been accelerated, active screens can be displayed and the infosystem "Document import" is available to create documents.
In Version 2005 the abas database has the new data field types "Time" and "Duration".
Furthermore, there is the option to define customer individual enumerations and to use them in screens and lists.
The abas Business Software now supports Persian as a new operating language.
A total of 25 languages are available, including many European languages, American and British English, Russian, Chinese (traditional and simplified) and Arabic.
Additional languages are possible on request.
The command overview has been reworked and also the standard icons for a standard graphical display.
Also gif and tif files can now be displayed.
The screen generation is faster and the resource requirement is reduced.
The flexible user interface now has interfaces to execute substitutions and for "Escaping" (protecting) special characters.
Also wide Chinese characters are now supported.
The new diagram type "OpenHighLowClose" has been introduced using which exchange rate trends can be displayed, for example.
Many FOP commands have been simplified or expanded, the selections also.
