User satisfaction ERP/Business Software study shows favourable result for Abas

A study called "User satisfaction ERP/Business Software" by i2s (Zurich), ADV, (Vienna) and Trovarit has been carried out annualy in Switzerland since 2003, in Germany since 2004, and in Austria since 2005 User satisfaction is a central control quantity for a mature industry such as the software sector

The objective of the study is to provide additional orientation to users when selecting a software provider and to sensitize users for central questions when selecting software.

After the year 2005, abas Business Software and the Austrian abas Partner Nittmann and Pekoll were able to confirm an excellent score in the ERP-Z 2005 study impressivley in 2006.

Again the first place regarding the satisfaction with the system and the supporting partner in Austria.

Werner Strub, managing director of the ABAS Software AG makes the point: "Customer use and quality is the highest priority for ABAS and the abas Software Partners".

"Our goal is to have the most content ERP customers worldwide! This is a very ambitious goal, however, it is the most important one for us, above all others".

"Why? Everyone is a winner: the customer gets an attractive service and ABAS and the abas Software Partners can accompany the customers over years".

That this maxim is acted upon is impressively confirmed by the study "User satisfaction ERP/Business Software Austria 2006".

As already in 2005, the abas Business Software with the Austrian abas Software Partner Nittmann and Pekoll achieved the best result.

The users evaluated the system by assigning grades from 1.0 (= insufficient) to 3.0 (satisfactory) to 5.0 very good).

ABAS again scored top marks in the category overall satisfaction: a 4.5 regarding the satisfaction with the system and a 4.7 regarding the contentedness with the partner.

The companies which participated in the study particularly criticised the lack of flexibility, maintainability and releaseabiltity of their used ERP systems.

Not so the users of the abas Business Software which awarded good scores in these areas.

It is important to have a long-term security of investment in order to achieve above average customer satisfaction.

The abas Business Software first of all supports the basic requirements in a company.

From financial accounting right through to eBusiness: all modules are fully integrated.

They support the continuous process of improvement of the company through flexibility and upgradeability.

The long-term security of investment can be achieved at ABAS by constantly implementing new functions and new technologies into the system standard in addition to upgrades during which individuality is maintained.

Many factors that are important for the successful operation of an ERP solution will only become obvious after the real start of the system.

If pure functional and physical aspects are in the centre of consideration until a system has been selected, then the value of the selected software for the company can only be seen in real operation.

Does the solution for example have an integrated, upgradable eBusiness module which supports existing or planned Web Applications? Is a competent, long-term cooperation tailored to the needs of medium-sized companies ensured with the system provider? Is the software continuously developed and will it be possible to depict new IT requirements in 5 or even 10 years? Can the software be flexibly and easily adjusted to the constantly changing requirements of medium-sized companies? Is the software multilingual and is there on-site support in many countries? Is the software provider a reliable, stable partner for many years? Is the security of investment given in all areas? abas Business Software convinces its users in all points, especially in those which only become obvious after the decision and whose advantages become more and more important the longer the software is being operated.

The study which was developed by the Swiss company intelligent systems solutions (i2s) evaluates 28 characteristics of satisfaction for 23 ERP systems which are used in Austria.

The satisfaction study 2006 in Austria was carried out by i2s in cooperation with ADV Vienna, the Trovarit AG and the specialist magazine Monitor.

The companies participating in the study are selected according to regional criteria, ie the companies must be located in Austria, according to the installed basis of the system in Austria, the implemenation time of the system and the independence of the evaluating company from the software provider.
