Action Feed Systems has garnered a much sought after contract to provide multiple feed systems for the automotive industry.

Action Feed Systems has garnered a much sought after contract to provide multiple feed systems for the automotive industry This equipment is designed to provide seemless transition from bulk storage to insertion of plastic weatherstrip retainers (door weatherstripping) used on the 2003 Honda Accord

A local automation integrator chose AFS from a stable of suppliers in the burgeoning part feeding industry located in the Rockford, Illinois metro area (AFS is located in Machesney Park, Illinois, a northeast 'suburb' of Rockford), an area some say is second only to Indianapolis in the number of skilled craftsmen devoted to the part feeding for automation industry.

This order consists of the following installed components: vibratory feed bowl, variable controller, gravity track, escapement, mounting plate and CAD layout.

Each unit of this multiple order will be integrated into the larger insertion system mentioned above.

At a time when every purchase is viewed and reviewed, AFS was chosen for a number of considerations.

Of course a competive quote being a given, successful experience on five previous feed systems with very similar part geometry seemed to be the deciding factor in the choice.

AFS has the distinct advantage in being an agile company without a crushing burden of overhead.

We are keenly aware of the competitive nature of doing business in the current economic climate.

Our quotes consistently reflect these advantages and many of our customers have ordered repetively from us.

We also understand that our customer may order a part feeding system, but what they really expect is a solution to a particular problem or need.

Our goal is to provide that solution as completely as possible, overcoming unforeseen issues that often surface during the design and testing stage.

By doing this we have been building long term relationships.

Repeat business is a sign that the philosophy is working! Those fortunate enough to purchase a new Honda Accord will probably never know the small business stories behind the assembly of each one that rolls off the production line, but thanks to formats like Manufacturingtalk.com / Engineeringtalk.com, many more of us do.
