Elastomer buffers last the longest
High performance elastomer profile buffers offers a much greater energy absorbing capacity than other competing materials such as urethanes, rubber and even steel springs.
Ace Controls International is introducing Elastomer Profile Buffers into its standard range of automation control equipment The new Tubus range of high performance elastomer profile buffers offers a much greater energy absorbing capacity than other competing materials such as urethanes, rubber and even steel springs

Profiled buffers offer low-cost damping
A range of high performance co-polyester elastomer profile buffers offers a low cost damping solution where a moving mass does not need to be decelerated to an exact datum position.

Shock absorbers take greater impacts
Ace Controls Magnum Series of shock absorbers now feature the new SC2 300 and 650 Heavyweight 11 Series of self-compensating shock absorbers of greater energy capacity for automation use.
Their life expectancy, up to 1 million cycles, is also remarkable, 20 times longer than urethane buffers, 10 times longer than rubber buffers and five times longer than steel spring type buffers.
Five models are available - TA, TS, TR, TRL and TC - offering different stopping characteristics and energy capacities ranging from 2Nm up to 12,700Nm.
Buffer diameters range from 20mm to 188mm with body lengths from 19mm to 252mm.
Tubus buffers have an operating temperature between -40øC to +90øC.
They are resistant to grease, oil, petroleum, microbe and chemical attack and seawater.
They also have excellent UV and ozone resistance.
With maximum energy absorption of 66%, Tubus buffers provide an economic solution where a moving mass does not need to be decelerated to an exact datum position.
Emergency stop uses are an ideal application.
Other application areas are end stops in robotic systems, high bay warehouse systems, machine tools, theme park rides, dockyard handling equipment, baggage handling, conveyor systems and crane equipment.
John Haslam, Ace Director, European Sales says: " Our well known range of shock absorbers with true linear deceleration, already provides design engineers with the optimum solution to bringing objects to a smooth, controlled stop.
However, there are applications where this level of operation is not required from either a performance or cost point of view.
With this new Tubus range, we can now provide a solution for all.".
