1U Pentium M Networking Platform with Giga LAN

Acrosser Technology announces the 1U Pentium M embedded networking appliance with Boardcom's Giga LAN Ethernet.

Acrosser understands the enterprise networking solutions requires Auto-MDIX and LAN-bypass functions, responds to this need by releasing the AR-M9936 to enterprise networking developers and solution providers.

The AR-M9936 is a 1U platform equipped with Intel Pentium M 1.3GHz CPU on board.

There are 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports, 2 external USB2.0, a compact flash socket, a Mini PCI interface, and optional bracket for installing 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive.

All of the advanced features of the AR-M9936 are suitable for different kinds of networking applications, such as high-end Firewall, VPN, 802.11a/g wireless, gateway management.

The AR-M9936 uses Intel's latest CPU - Pentium M series.

The Intel Pentium M is the only low-power consumption, high-performance CPU on all Intel CPU products.

Its clock rate has better performance comparing to standard P4 CPU with only one-third of power consumption.

This 1U server uses Boardcom LAN chipset which supports 10/100/1000 Mbps speed and it has 4 build in LAN ports.

With the on board Mini PCI interface, customers can plug in a VPN module, WiFi module to enable the wireless function for this 1U server.

Auto-MDIX and the LAN bypass functions are enhanced features when the LAN is communicating with the intranet or internet.
