Machine tool CNC needs no experience to use
Believed to be one of the most user-friendly CNC systems available, machine tool control features a conversational system that requires no CNC experience and can be used as a DRO or a CNC.
The offer includes discounts where, for example, just the DRO unit is purchased without the need for new scales.
Where existing scales are used with a new Acu-Rite, the pig tail leads used to obtain compatibility are offered free, a further saving of up to GBP105 + vat.
John Sayers, General Manager of Acu-Rite said "We have extended the trade in period because it has been outstandingly successful and has enabled customers to upgrade from non glass systems and gain accuracy at a very competitive price.
Through our well-established distribution network we have met many customers with problems on digital read out systems more than 10 years old.
It is either uneconomical or not possible to repair these because spares are unavailable.
As one of the market leaders in glass scale digital read out equipment we decided to offer this trade-in as a way of making customers aware of just how modern ACU-RITE DRO systems have developed in terms of capability and reliability.
Of course a financial incentive usually makes customers notice, but many of them now find it hard to believe what they can get for their money.
We ran this promotion during part of last year and are now extending it until the end of June 2001".
All new Acu-Rites have a three year warranty.
The Acu-Rites include the DRO100 and 200 and the VRO300, all of which are application specific, giving the greatest possible range of functions combined with the greatest ease of use on the shop floor.
Encased in die cast aluminium, the robust units are protected against the ingress of hostile materials and extremes of temperature and humidity.
Position-Trac, a feature made possible by the precision glass scale linear encoders used in all the Acu-Rite DROs, allows the operator to know the exact position of the tool relative to absolute zero after the power supply has been interrupted.
For example, due to power failure or switching the machine off at the end of a shift.
