Web cleaners remove 1 micron particles
A range of web cleaning systems are ideal for combating nuisance dust particles - down to 1 micron - collected during printing, coating and laminating processes.
Leading suppliers of static elimination equipment, Advanced Dynamics, is launching into the UK a range of web cleaning solutions that are ideal for combating nuisance dust particles collected during printing, coating and laminating processes Loose surface particles can affect the finishing of products and initiate re-runs, but the new Advanced Dynamics Contact Cleaning equipment features a double roller system that has been specially designed to attract and lift loose particles, as small as 1 micron, from a web

Static control system has wide range
Static control system set to revolutionise plastics and rubber handling provides outstanding extended range performance even when installed up to 250mm from webs.
Compact wrapping machine uses ultrasonic sealing
Compact wrapping machine that uses ultrasonic sealing technology is believed to be a major breakthrough for flat product wrapping and can include an embossed pattern.
The sticky roller systems are available in a range of sizes to suit almost any application, from flexographic printing, slot die and hot foil stamping, through to casting film, narrow web printing and vertical form, fill and seal production.
The equipment works by lifting dust and contaminates from the web using a rubber roller, which then transfers and traps the particles on an adhesive, 'tacky' roll above.
A static elimination system is also applied to the cleaner to neutralize built up charges and avoid re contamination.
When the adhesive surface becomes fully loaded the outer layer is simply peeled away to reveal a clean roller.
The dusty layer can then be examined to enable the user to trace the cause of the line optimisation and identify maintenance issues.
Contact Cleaning products range from the Single Cleaning Head (SCH), which is a compact module that allows cleaning at the critical point of production.
Through to the Slim Line Web Cleaning (SLWC), available in narrow and wide, which is a cost effective solution with the added feature of side pull adhesive access.
Whatever the application, Advanced Dynamics has the solution.
Managing director of Advanced Dynamics, Mike Essler, said: "Moving webs or sheets of any material generates static that attracts airborne contaminant, including fibres, hair and skin flakes".
" The impact of these particles can lead to lost production and re-runs".
"But if companies acknowledge surface contamination and install the right equipment to combat the build up of dust, they will notice improved product finishing and increased production." Advanced Dynamics Contact Cleaning systems are approved for use within the medical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
