The latest Type AS-20 ionising air blower is said to be suitable for eliminating static created in film sheeting during printing and processing, which if not removed can endanger staff and slow-down production.

Typical applications include the removal of static during slitting, winding and printing.

Also said to be characteristic of Advanced Dynamic's other products is the P-Sh-N-air bar, which is used for controlling production generated static in the printing, converting and packaging industries.

Also available from Advanced Dynamics is the Mistral ionising air knife designed to neutralise and remove impurities from flat and curved print surfaces.

Manufacturer Simco, claimed that cost savings of up to 70 per cent over alternative technology can be achieved.

Advanced Dynamics' director, Mike Essler, said: "The DD Web Cleaner is the latest breakthrough from Simco.

It is highly efficient and should bring cost savings to those involved in converting and printing.

Building on the success of the extensive Simco range, this model is just one from a large number of static control solutions." The company provides a nation-wide free static auditing service enabling customers to receive independent analysis and practical advice.

On-line help is also available through the company's interactive website.
