Versatile Labeller For Varied Toiletries Packs

Meller Beauty, manufacturers of own-label body care products, has installed a Eurokett Mini-12 labelling system from Advanced Dynamics to apply front, back and wrap labels accurately on a range of toiletries for a major UK retailer.

Bedfordshire-based Meller Beauty required a versatile and highly accurate system to label a wide range of high quality bottles, tubs and flasks.

Currently the system is labelling 300ml containers and is networked to complementary machines that are collating, filling and packing the products.

Engineering manager of Meller Beauty, Frank Slender, explained why the company chose Advanced Dynamics: "At the time I was looking for a labeller that would provide better accuracy on application and also more versatility with regards to front, back, and wrap labelling.

Although existing machines on the Meller site do give versatility I wanted something that gave better results and Advanced Dynamics was the only company that could provide a system that would apply the labels accurately enough to meet our customers' high standards.

Advanced Dynamics knew the Eurokett Mini-12 would meet all Meller Beauty's requirements and having seen the results first hand, Slender agreed: "The Mini-12 is the ideal system and has the capacity to handle virtually any shape of package.

Advanced Dynamcis said that Eurokett label application systems have been installed at a number of companies throughout the UK and Europe.

The machines are claimed to require minimal maintenance and can be used for the labelling of a range of shapes and sizes.

The labelling flexibility it provides has enabled Advanced Dynamics to win contracts with a big cross-section of UK blue chip companies, added the company.

Meller Beauty, which employs 500 staff on its Bedfordshire site, manufactures toiletries for high street retailers and has various divisions across the UK that deal with packaging design.

Managing director of Advanced Dynamics, Malcolm Little, commented on the installation: "Meller Beauty needed its labels to be positioned as accurately as possible on to a variety of containers, which meant offering equipment with the capacity to deal with almost any problem.

So the Eurokett Mini-12, which is already being talked of in the trade as a world-beater in labelling, was chosen for the job and the feedback from Meller Beauty since the installation has been very positive.
