Compact wrapping machine uses ultrasonic sealing
Compact wrapping machine that uses ultrasonic sealing technology is believed to be a major breakthrough for flat product wrapping and can include an embossed pattern.
Static control system has wide range
Static control system set to revolutionise plastics and rubber handling provides outstanding extended range performance even when installed up to 250mm from webs.
Compressed air products reduce shutdowns
Air nozzles and jets, enclosed coolers and cold air guns can improve production rates and the quality of products, prolong tool life and decrease shutdowns.
Manufactured by Kora-Packmat, the Sonicseal has many of the features of Kora's larger machine and can seal at up to 150 cards per minute, claimed ADL.
Sonicseal made its first formal UK show debut at PPMA last month.
Capable of length and cross sealing, it can also seal using the customer's own embossed pattern, giving the user flexibility.
The Sonicseal is said to be very easy to operate and can seal pack heights of up to 2.5mm.
Suitable for phone, membership, debit and credit cards the machine can also produce single or linked packs as required.
Other options include customised security stick down, four-sided sealing, film folding, tamper proof packaging and a choice of feeders.
The machine is screen touch controlled and is Windows compatible, allowing networking, on-line help and remote access as further features, added ADL.
Weighing in at around 1,000kg, it uses centre folded film and can handle pack sizes of up to 85mm x 54mm in a choice of polypropylene films.
At the heart of the machine are a number of servo drives that manage the sealing operation.
Advanced Dynamics believes that the new machine will prove to be a good working base to enable Kora-Packmat to produce further machines for other markets using the same platform in the future.
Joint managing director at ADL, Mike Essler, said: "The Sonicseal is the latest machine from Kora-Packmat and represents a major R and D investment.
The machine has already been extremely well received in Germany and we are anticipating a great deal of interest in the UK." Other products manufactured by Kora-Packmat and distributed by Advanced Dynamics include feeders, folding machines and wrapping equipment for packing greeting cards, stationery and software.
Kora-Packmat also manufactures the Cardseal 500, which is a large scale version of the Sonicseal and is claimed to seal 500 cards per minute.
