Truck exhaust tube bending output raised
30%
AddisonMcKee recently showed a truck exhaust manufacture how the latest tube-working technology could increase exhaust component manufacture by 30%.
Speaking about the latest developments in tube manipulation for truck exhaust systems, director of global marketing at AddisonMcKee, Christian Rogiers said: "Where appropriate, we also offer customers the opportunity to benefit from technology upgrades, in order to fully maximise the life-potential of their existing AddisonMckee machinery" For the truck exhaust sector AddisonMcKee offersd large diameter tube bending and end-finishing machines and associated tooling, automated and integrated production cells, muffler and catalytic assembly machinery, and many other systems

* Reducing component manufacturing times by 30% - a recent AddisonMcKee demonstration showed how a leading exhaust manufacturer how component manufacture could be accelerated by 30%.
Rogiers said: "At a time when every minute shaved off production duration impacts on business viability, capability and profitability, we were particularly pleased to demonstrate how investment in models from our DataBend range would impact favorably on the balance sheet".
In this particular example, AddisonMcKee set up like-for-like manufacturing trials, which demonstrated the accuracy, reliability and repeatability that investment in AddisonMckee technology would bring.

AddisonMckee also worked directly with the truck exhaust manufacturer to assist in the re-development of some of its exhaust components.
Making more use of single piece tubing reduced various cutting and welding procedures and offered significantly less resistance to exhaust gas airflow.
The truck exhaust manufacturer purchased a DataBend DB150 ESRB (E- all-electric, S - stack, R - multi-radius, B - Boost) tube bender to make numerous short-run, large diameter exhaust components.
The company also bought a smaller DataBend DB20 ESRD - a Dual (D) capability model that will be used for making smaller components, including brake lines and air-conditioning tubing.
This model bends left-and right-hand tubular components using the same bending head.
Rogiers concluded: "At a time when global economic influences are putting a greater focus on the need for efficiency and reliability more than ever before, I would urge manufacturers, to consider how the choice of premium technologies can not only deliver significant economies, but also assist in showing the levels of profitability that the automotive sector in particular, desires to achieve".
