Data collection directly into Windows CE devices
CE-Wedge, latest addition to the SoftwareWedge range, makes data collection to handheld devices easy by being fully compatible with any Windows CE 3.0 device
Adept Scientific announces CE-Wedge from TAL Technologies, the latest addition to the SoftwareWedge line of serial data acquisition software.
CE-Wedge is an easy-to-use data collection program designed for interfacing serial devices such as bar code scanners, calipers, micrometers, balances and other simple serial devices, to any Windows CE program.
Input real-time serial data directly into Pocket Excel, Pocket Word or any other Window CE application program.
CE-Wedge is fully compatible with any Windows CE 3.0 device, with support for COM ports 1 to 4.
It automates data entry by allowing users to input serial data directly into any Windows CE program.
CE-Wedge converts the incoming data to "keystrokes" so it appears in your CE programs just as if it was typed in.
CE-Wedge supports date and time stamping of data as well.
Setting up CE-Wedge is extremely easy, from a single screen with complete on-line help.
Once configured, just open any Windows CE application and watch data from your serial device "pop" in exactly where you need it.
Since the first SoftwareWedge for DOS was released in 1988, TAL Technologies (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) has focused on providing high quality software for those needing to input data from RS232 (serial) devices into PC applications from spreadsheets and databases to data analysis, process control and laboratory information systems.
Versions of SoftwareWedge are available for DOS and all versions of Windows, including 2000 and NT, and now for Windows CE too.
