A white paper entitled 'Protecting Adhesive Tape Systems From Static Electricity' addresses common winter static electricity problems.

Adchem Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high performance film and foam bonding adhesive tape, is pleased to announce the availability of a white paper entitled 'Protecting Adhesive Tape Systems From Static Electricity' on the company's website This comprehensive and highly educational paper addresses a number of measures that may be taken to control the effects of static electricity during the use and conversion of pressure-sensitive tape, as well as how to reduce the hazards and risks to pressure-sensitive tape users and converters from the buildup of electrostatic charges

Adchem makes several key recommendations, such as maintaining a relative humidity above 50% with water spray misters to mitigate problems for uncoated papers; minimizing slippage in the transport system where PSA tapes contact stationary or slower moving idler rollers; and, the addition of active ionizers as an effective static control mechanism.

The Static Control white paper is available on Adchem's Web site or by contacting an Adchem regional sales manager.
