Data file details motors, clarifies ATEX

Six-page technical data file details a range of dust ignition proof motors and lso defines the dangerous zones according to risks as outlined in the internatiopnal standard IEC 79-10.
A new six-page Technical Data File detailing the company's range of Dust Ignition Proof (DIP) motors has been published by AEG Electric Motors AEGs DIP range conforms to ATEX directive 94/9/CE (ATEX 95) for use in Zones 21 and 22
The standard 2 and 4 pole machines (6 and 8 pole units are available) offer power ratings from 0.75 to 200kW and 0.55 to 200kW respectively.
Frame sizes are from 80 to 315.
In addition to motor data the leaflet also defines the dangerous zones according to risks as outlined in The International Standard IEC 79-10, a diagram to help understand Zone classification plus a table explaining ATEX Group II Categories 1 to 3 (Dust and Gas) and relevant Zones.
