Electric motors manufacturer, Lafert Electric Motors has appointed Nigel Evenett as managing director of Lafert Moteurs SAS in France.

AEG Electric Motors, part of the 93m Euro Lafert Group has launched a new generation of aluminium induction motors to meet increasing demands from the market.
He will also remain as managing director for the UK company.
Evenett is a joint founder of Lafert Electric Motors (previously AEG Electric Motors ) and has played a major role in establishing the UK company since it was set up in 2001.
This appointment recognises the significant part Evenett has played in helping the company to quadruple its turnover since its first year of trading in 2001/2.
This has been achieved both by establishing recognition of Lafert's expertise in providing engineered solutions to match customers' needs and by overseeing the introduction of new product lines to take advantage of new opportunities in related markets.
Most notable new product lines have been the 'Marlin' Stainless Steel motor and gearbox range for hygiene sensitive areas, and generators for green production of electricity, by both wind and wave power.
