Aerco to distribute control mechanisms
Aerco has been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for Ultra Electronics Measurement Systems control mechanisms including joysticks, hand controls, control grips and trackballs.
Aerco has been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for Ultra Electronics Measurement Systems (Ultra MSI), the American company that manufactures a range of commercial and industrial control mechanisms including joysticks, hand controls, control grips and trackballs.
Of particular interest to the UK electronics market will be a range of Hall-effect joysticks.
Ultra MSI's unique adaptation of Hall-effect technology for multi axis joystick sensing was first patented and introduced by Ultra MSI in 1998 (US Patent No 5850142) and offers many benefits over traditional potentiometer and inductive joystick designs providing low power dissipation, excellent temperature stability and a life time of 20 million cycles.
Most importantly, there is no degradation of performance throughout the operational life.
These joysticks will find application in robotics, construction equipment, hydraulic controls, medical and surgery equipment, security and video cameras and scientific instruments.
Marc Bunce, Aerco marketing manager, said: "These innovative joysticks complement our range of commercial and industrial products that includes solenoids, filters and switch products and will be an important addition to the Aerco product range." Thomas Herr, business development manager of Ultra MSI is highly optimistic about the appointment: "Aerco makes an ideal distributor for Ultra MSI because of its strong marketing organisation and we expect the Aerco Design Support team to open up new markets in the UK for our joysticks." * About Ultra MSI - Ultra MSI has, for over 45 years, supplied state-of-the-art products ranging from simple joysticks to sophisticated human machine interface (HMI) devices to the commercial, industrial and military industries worldwide.
Applications include control solutions for manned and unmanned armoured vehicles, tanks, helicopters, commercial and military aircraft, trainers and simulators, trains, automobiles, submarines, surface vessels, NASA space shuttles and many other applications where precise human-machine interface controls are required.
Ultra MSI is an ISO 9001:2000 registered company and also holds various aerospace and defence customer quality approvals.
