Malaysian-Spanish Institute inaugurated
Collaboration between the Malaysian and Spanish Administrations, and the leadership of AFM, IMH and Proschools has led to the inauguration of the Malaysian-Spanish Institute.
On July 13, 2006, the Malaysian-Spanish Institute (MSI) was inaugurated by the Malaysian Minister of Development and Business Cooperation, Dato' Mohamed Khaled Nordin, and the Spanish Director-General of Commerce and Investments, Oscar Via This Institute is the result of the collaboration between the Malaysian and Spanish Administrations, and the leadership of AFM (Association of Spanish Machine Tool Builders), IMH and Proschools
The Institute is made up of several laboratories and machine-tool workshops, with 54 conventional machines and 26 with numerical control.
Altogether, there are 80 machine tools with entirely Spanish technology.
The MSI offers five different degrees according to the Spanish curricular design, and it can provide training to operate machine-tools to more than 590 students every year.
