The 12th edition of the Tecnologia en Maquinas-Herramienta, TECMA 2007, has been held from 6th to 9th March in Mexico, in which the Spanish participation was the largest, with 17 exhibiting companies occupying a net surface area of 624m2.
The companies present in TECMA, all AFM associates, were: Autopulit, Fagor Automation, Gamor, Geka, GH Electrotermia, Global Machinery, Goiti, Ineco, Jordi, Lantek, Loire Safe, Metosa-Pinacho, Nicolas Correa-Anayak, Sierras Sabi, Trimek and Zayer.
Mariano Muela, head counsellor of the Spanish Commercial and Economic Office in Mexico, visited the Spanish stands.
The participating companies were very satisfied with the high level of contacts made during the Trade Fair, which reached the foreseen objectives.
Mexico, which is in third position for Spanish exports in 2005 and 2006, is living a period of political and economic stability entailing a notable growth in sales in the machine tool sector.
Companies are working at full production capacity, especially in the auxiliary car, car parts and construction sectors.
On the other hand, also from 6th to 9th March, the second edition of the Industrie Lyon International Fair has been held in the Eurexpo Convention and Exhibition Centre.
On this occasion, nine Spanish AFM associate machine tool companies exhibited their machines: Agme, Danobat, GH Electrotermia, Ibarmia, Lantek, Nicolas Correa- Anayak, Ona Electroerosion, Denn-Puigjaner, and Ger, occupying 655m2.
The results from this fair were generally satisfactory for the exhibiting companies and it is hoped that the level of sales in the French market will be maintained.
