74 builders show Spanish machine tools
at EMO 2007
At EMO 2007 international machine tool show, Spain - represented by 74 manufacturers - will be he sixth largest participating country, after Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Switzerland and Japan.

* Orders up by 23% - during the first half of 2007, order entry figures for the machine tool sector in Spain have grown by 23.2% with respect to the same period of the previous year, maintaining the positive trend observed in 2006.
Orders from foreign markets have shown the most dynamic growth, with an increase of 29.1% as compared to 5% for domestic market orders.
As for exports, at the close of May 2007 there was a 12% increase with respect to the first five months of 2006, and the export/import coverage ratio was 116%.
In view of this data, published by AFM, Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association of Spain, the forecasts made at the beginning of the year estimating a growth of 5-8% in production and 8-10% in exports are maintained.
From 17 - 22 September, over 2,100 companies from 42 countries will be showcasing their latest products, solutions and services at the EMO 2007 Trade Fair in Hannover, Germany, over an exhibition area of almost 180,000m2.
The German president, Horst Koehler, will be presiding the opening ceremony of this year's Fair, for the first time in EMO's history.
The event will take place on September 17 at 10.00 a.m.
The Fair is being held at a positive moment for the machine tool industry, and the atmosphere is therefore expected to be excellent, with a big turnout of professional visitors.
