New entry-level EDM for a wider audience Competitively priced, easy to use and built to the highest standards, the new range of ACTSpark machines, manufactured by Beijing Agie Charmilles, make reliable, high precision EDM technology affordable for many companies who could not previously have justified the investment.

The Beijing AGIE Charmilles company complex, located in the suburbs of Beijing, occupies 77,000m2 of light, modern premises and produces machines to ISO 9001 standards.

The state-of-the-art production facility is staffed by highly skilled R and D, Production and Sales professionals, many of whom have 20 years experience of EDM.

The new range of machines has been developed in response to the demand by dynamic, enterprising companies who see EDM technology as the means of entering new markets, challenging existing production methods, thinking "outside the box" for manufacturing opportunities and solutions.

The spirit of success, so characteristic of such companies is embodied throughout the range of ACTSpark machines, offering as they do, simple, robust and reliable technology that can tackle the challenges of modern manufacturing and offer first class performance.

A range of ACTSpark machines is available.

The SP series provides a rigid and sturdy mechanical design, X and Y positioning and Z axis orbiting CNC controlled axis movement, wide access double-doors and 50A generator for consistent machining and low electrode wear.

The top-of-the-range SE1, 2 and 4 machines offer 3 axis CNC machining with simultaneous Servocontrol, the machines can be configured with an optional electrode changer for longer machining operations.

For wire cutting EDM the ACTSpark FW1 and FW2 machines offer outstanding technology, including a re-circulating wire facility, with an axis resolution of 0.001mm and a positioning accuracy of Pa 17 microns, at a really affordable price.

Maximum workpiece dimensions are 630x400x200 for the FW1 and 800x500x250 for the FW2.

For companies that are looking to extend their operations to include EDM technology within a limited budget, the new range of ACTSpark machines offer superb value for money, combining ease of use with robust construction.

ACTSpark machines are distributed in the UK through both AGIE and Charmilles Technologies.
