Lowering injection moulding costs in E Europe
To help UK businesses compete in their markets a company has invested a considerable amount of time investigating an opportunity closer to home in the 'new economies' of Eastern Europe.
The assembly consists of a clear polysulphone case, a blue polypropylene shaft and end cap, six ferrite magnets separated by 12 stainless steel baffles, a rubber sealing ring and a stainless steel, overcentre band retainer.
The polysulphone case has a thread at each end to accept a brass fitting.
It also has a shut-off valve and copper piping on both sides.
To assist the complex assembly process at AKI, this case is conveniently produced in two halves: in the middle is the rubber sealing ring covered by the band fastener.
Installed before the pump to protect it, the 'Boiler Buddy' magnetic filter will catch any rust contamination and other metal debris passing through domestic central heating systems.
Accordingly, this neat device diminishes 'cold spots' in radiators, improves flow, extends pump and boiler life, and reduces the need to flush out the system.
