A range of Oerlikon TIG welding sets has an array of high-performance products providing an optimised response to customers' requirements for premium quality Oerlikon has completely renewed its range of TIG welding sets, with a new array of high-performance products providing an optimised response to our customers' requirements for premium quality

Two types of products will now be available as follows.

* CITIG DC and CITIG AC/DC for professionals, especially for maintenance activities.

* CITOTIG DC and CITOTIG AC/DC for workshop and or on-site industrial activities.

The DC sets are used for welding stainless and other steels, while the AC/DC sets provide the extra functionality required for the welding of aluminium alloys.

These sets are also suitable for welding with MMA coated electrodes.

This new range equips welders for a wide diversity of activities in standard welding as well as high-tech applications.

The CITIG range comprises five sets.

* the CITIG 1500 DC and 1500 AC/DC.

Basic cycle, maximum welding current of 150A and HF (high frequency) striking.

* the CITIG 1700 DC - 2200 DC - 2300 DC.

Full cycle, welding currents of 160A and 220A, smooth current TIG and pulsed current TIG.

The characteristics of these sets include the following.

* Easy set-up (max.

weight 20kg).

* Versatility.

* Excellent welding current stability and easy striking.

* Low power consumption (using household sockets for the single-phase sets).

The new CITOTIG range comprises four DC sets and four AC/DC sets (W versions are equipped with a cooling unit allowing the use of water-cooled torches).

* CITOTIG 200DC - 300DC - 300 WDC - 400 WDC (welding current range of 5A to 400A).

* CITOTIG 200 AC/DC - 250 AC/DC - 250 W AC/DC - 350 W AC/DC (welding current range of 3A to 350A).

Optimised performance and advanced functionalities, including the following.

* CITOSTEP double current level function, allowing the power input to be changed with no interruption when welding.

* Synergic pulse function, for ease of setting of the pulsed current parameters.

* Storage of welding parameters and for AC welding.

* Automatic balancing between the cleaning and penetration phases according to the current settings and shape of electrode used.

These features place these sets in the category of very high-tech equipment, as required by the most demanding welders.

These sets comes with a wide range of accessories, such as hand- or foot-operated remote control units and trolleys.

* About Oerlikon - Oerlikon is a brand of the Air Liquide Welding group, a leading company in the welding and cutting market.

Focusing on innovative solutions, such as double coated MMA electrodes, submerged arc welding with flux cored wires or seamless cored wires, our expertise is globally acknowledged in numerous industry sectors where product performance is important, such as offshore, chemical and petrochemical, the nuclear industry, etc.

Taking advantage of the R and D from the CTAS (Centre Technique des Applications du Soudage du Groupe Air Liquide), the most important private R and D centre for welding and cutting, Oerlikon can permanently offer innovative solutions, allowing its customers to increase their performance and productivity, while taking into account the comfort and safety of welders.
