Air Liquide unveils 2D flatbed fibre laser cutter

An Air Liquide Welding product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Oct 31, 2008

Air Liquide Welding has introduced Fibertome 3015, a 2D flatbed fibre laser cutting installation that uses a 2kW fibre laser.

The installation is designed for cutting and marking steel sheets with standard dimensions of 3,000 x 1,500mm, with maximum thicknesses of 12mm for mild steels, 5mm for stainless steels and 4mm for aluminium.

With an acceleration of 1G and a maximum speed of 100m/min, the installation mechanics ensure a precision in location of +/- 0.1mm/m with a repeatability of +/- 0.04mm/m.

Its nesting software is able to optimise the cutting process, while a high performance shuttle table system allows fast loading and unloading of steel sheets even during the cutting process.

There is no need for a turbo-compressor or mirror adjustments during operation.

An automatic system for the loading and unloading of metal sheets and components can be added to the machine.

This installation will be commercialised in France during 2009.
