ALS to sell 53LTi thermal transfer coder
Allen Coding Systems has released the 53LTi thermal transfer coder, which is available from Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) and will be demonstrated at the PPMA show.
The ALS-T-Series is ideal for applying labels to tubes ranging from10mm to 30mm in diameter, at speeds of up to 90 tubes per minute.
The labelling system is fully modular and incorporates proven ALS labelling head technology, which can be selected from the full ALS range to best suit the requirements of the application and the label materials, which can range from paper to clear plastics.
The system also features a counter to chart the progress of each labelling run along with an easy to use control panel, which is operated using straightforward push buttons and dial switches.

Use of the ALS-T-Series offers a number of benefits in comparison with direct tube printing.
For example, it is simpler to print a design onto a flat label than to print directly onto a tube and, consequently, the ALS-T-Series avoids the design restrictions that can apply to direct printing.
In addition, manufacturers and packers can reduce their stock holding of finished tubes, simply printing labels in advance and tailoring production more closely to demand.
The labelling process is also much shorter, due to the elimination of print drying times.
Throughput can therefore be increased and new products brought to the market more quickly.
As a further benefit, wraparound labels can also be used to provide tamper evidence, with the label being applied over the cap in the form of a perforated end piece, which must either be removed or the seal broken before the tube can be opened.
The ALS-T-Series is extremely flexible and, in addition to the core system, operators can select from a choice of infeed hoppers, infeed and outfeed conveyors, stacking and loading systems and bespoke tube delivery starwheels, all specified to work in conjunction with an ALS labelling head.
The system can also be supplied with either a right or left configuration and an integral IT interface.
The ALS-T-Series can be used as a standalone system or integrated into existing production lines.
In common with all ALS systems, it is supplied complete with a 2 year parts and labour warranty. Request a free brochure from Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) ...
