ALS to sell 53LTi thermal transfer coder
Allen Coding Systems has released the 53LTi thermal transfer coder, which is available from Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) and will be demonstrated at the PPMA show.
Common key features of the new range are high speed, durability and ease of use, while the ALX 3038 and the ALX 3138 models include advanced communication inputs and outputs for greater integration with automated manufacturing operations.
In addition, all three solutions feature removable print engines, enabling fast and efficient changeover between all popular systems, such as Sato, Zebra and Novexx.
The new systems also offer a far greater variety of applicator options than any other range available.

'Entry-level' applicator meets the general industry requirements for labelling - it handles labels up to 110mm wide and dispenses at line speeds of up to 25m/min.
Applicator options include no less than eight standard types and methods to suit an extensive range of front, side, rear, front and side, side and rear labelling requirements.
The new solutions will also accept a unique direct apply applicator that provides an effective alternative to air based applicators and a DAT model (dual action tamp) is also available, allowing the labelling of two adjacent sides of a case or pallet.
The ALX 3038 and the ALX 3138 both feature a powerful control with an enhanced two-line digital display.
Providing menu-driven control from the front panel, the new control not only provides error messaging, it also provides detailed information on status condition and enables operators to programme and store multiple set up parameters for different product configurations for easy recall.
Top of the range is the ALX 3138 heavy duty print and apply labelling solution.
With the capability to operate with the widest range of print engines and applicator technology, the new ALX 3138 offers the highest achievable levels of control and performance for unrivalled labelling.
The ALX 3138 benefits from a rugged air cylinder with linear bearings, designed to cope with continuous operation, while options such as powered label unwind enable larger diameter label rolls of up to 430mm (17in) to be accommodated, extending the operating scope of the print and apply system to meet high throughput, 24/7 operation and minimising downtime.
The ALX 3038 and ALX 3138 also feature a unique velocity compensation system that ensures consistent label placement regardless of changes in conveyor speeds.
Furthermore, all of the new ALS print and apply solutions are available in left and right hand configurations and are covered by the company's unique two year on-site parts and labour warranty as standard.
"With the addition of the three new print and apply labellers to the ALS portfolio, we now offer the most extensive range of labelling solutions available from a single source," says Phil Donaldson, Sales and Marketing Director. Request a free brochure from Advanced Labelling Systems (ALS) ...
