CNC tool grinder loader suits small
batch work
The economy and efficiency of a compact parts loading system means that automatic loading is now viable for CNC tool and cutter grinder users who do low-volume production runs.
ANCA has released a revolutionary new loading system for their CNC grinding machines, the CLX compact loader Designed to meet strict space and budget specifications, the CLX is fully-contained within the existing machine canopy and therefore does not increase the footprint of the machine as many other loading options do

Compact tool and cutter grinder produces miracles
Launched at Grind Tec, in Germany, a compact CNC tool grinder has the power, strength and working envelope usually attributed to a much larger machine.
The economy and efficiency of the CLX means that automatic loading is now viable for operators who do low-volume production runs and cannot justify more complex systems.
In line with ANCA's philosophies of innovation and simplicity, the CLX uses existing machine axes for the loading operation, rather than having its own independent axes.
The loader arm is fixed to the machine column and the pallet attached to the machine Z-axis saddle.

Customised software speeds knee joint machining
Machine and customised software is making significant contributions in quality and productivity to the dynamic and rapid global growth in the field of artificial knee joints.
As the system is installed in an existing vacant area at the back of the grinder, no other functions are impaired and significant cost and space is saved.
"Our customers pointed out the need for low-level automation in loaders, and we designed the CLX with that in mind," said ANCA product specialist, Greg Perry.
"Using the existing machine functions to provide movement was logical, and turned out to be the key to cutting cost out of the system." Once the loader arm swings down into position it remains stationary.
Movement of the machine axes completes the load and unload sequences by bringing the headstock and pallet to meet the gripper fingers.
By using the machine axes, the cost of the CLX has been kept minimal and is therefore an attractive proposition for budget-conscious companies.
The CLX can handle round shank tools, woodworking profile blades and tooling inserts.
Sliding panels at the back of the machine provide operator access to load and unload the pallets once the batch run is finished.
CLX can be specified on RX7, GX7 and WGX machines or retro-fitted to certain installed machines.
