New Release Features Solver on Demand
New Release Features Solver on Demand with Nexxim and Q3D Extractor to provide the most complete RF/mixed-signal IC design solution available today
The software is ideal for engineering students studying design topics in power electronics, drive technology, electromagnetic actuators and electric machines, controls, transportation technology, micro machining, mechatronics and sensor systems.
"Simplorer is a widely used design tool within commercial engineering groups that routinely blend analogue, digital, mixed-signal electronics with electromechanical devices, such as motors, actuators and sensors," said Mark Ravenstahl, Product Marketing Manager at Ansoft.
"For universities with electromechanical, mechatronic and power-electronic curriculum, Simplorer SV is a 'must have' tool." To date, more than 10,000 users have downloaded the previous version of Simplorer SV.
"Simplorer SV is the best, easiest and most interesting program I have ever used," said Sterren Latsky, a student at the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
"I recently did a report for a second-term module on induction motor simulation, and this program has helped me immensely.
I really like the way that one can do mathematical operations using a straightforward, block-diagram-style layout to add feedback routes to modify signals easily." Simplorer SV v7 offers users the same commercial standard Simplorer features of performing simulation using VHDL-AMS alone or in combination with circuits, block diagrams, state machines and Simplorer's other modelling languages.
The inherent co-simulation ability is ideal for the design of modern-day systems where many technical domains are combined.
Additional new features included within this SV release are: -- Standard scripting language (Visual Basic, Tcl/Tk and LabView) -- VHDL-AMS wizard for automatic model generation -- VHDL-AMS editor with syntax colouring and automatic symbol generation -- VHDL-AMS import -- Open digital basic component library -- Open AMS basic component library -- Tutorial examples.
