Anchor Plastics Machinery, in partnership with Kiefel, has just introduced to the UK the Kiefel Bag in Box machine The machine provides companies with a flexible and hygienic welded bag packaging system, said Anchor

The machine has been designed for easy handling and high efficiency and is particularly of interest for companies that have to buy finished bags to fill, when producing welded bags can be an economic solution that guarantees the quality of the bags, added the company.

The Bag-in-Box Packaging works for a diverse range of goods such as wine, milk, fruit juice, vegetable oils, liquid soap and other liquid products.

Anchor said that the machine can create a range of bag shapes, with capacities from three litres to 20 litres, all produced continuously from one roll of material at a claimed rate of 20 to 30 per minute.

The bag material, which consists of single or multi-layer plastic foil, is resistant to ultraviolet rays, impervious to smells and allows neither water-vapour nor air pass through, it is claimed.

The outlet tap that connects the outside of the box to the full bag inside prevents air entering the bag and remaining between the liquid contents and the outlet.

Thanks to the sealed tapping system, the contents of the bag remain protected from air and gas right down to the last drop.

A cardboard folding box protects the bag from light and enables easy transport and stacking.
