Reliable oxygen monitoring in water

Analytical Technology (ATi) has introduced the new Q45D Dissolved Oxygen Monitor for reliable oxygen monitoring in water.

Analytical Technology (ATi) has introduced the new Q45D Dissolved Oxygen Monitor for reliable oxygen monitoring in water The Q45D is designed to meet the exacting conditions of use in waste water treatment

The most common application is for the control of dissolve oxygen levels in activated sludge plants.

The new Q45D DO monitor from ATi provides reliable oxygen measurement with reduced maintenance costs.

Its AutoClean operation facilitates better performance.

The Auto Clean system is industry proven, there are hundreds of plants using it that benefit form typical maintenance intervals of 12 months, this compares very favourable to the weekly maintenance needed on other systems.

ATi also offers a portable DO monitor, for short-term monitoring at remote sites.

ATi's Q45D is the first Dissolved Oxygen monitor to clean itself using air generated from a fully integrated system.

Dissolved Oxygen monitors are often difficult to clean, limiting their effectiveness due to contaminants being present between the sensing membrane and the water in the tank.

All sensors, optical and electrochemical, will ultimately fail if they are covered in contamination.

Water industry studies indicate that an error of as little as 1ppm in oxygen readings can lead to a 15% increase in electricity costs due to over aeration.

If the system doesn't feature a self-clean mechanism, the sensor will require frequent manual cleaning.

The Q45D's self-contained Auto Clean system generates a series of high pressure air blasts to remove contaminants and fouling from the face of the sensor.

With this unique system, biological growth and other contaminants are literally blasted from the Teflon membrane.

The Q45D's sensor's principle of operation is simple and tried and tested.

Oxygen diffuses through a Teflon membrane and reduces on the surface of a working electrode, generating a small electric current proportional to the dissolved ozone concentration.

An RTD temperature element measures water temperature and corrects the sensor signal.

The result is a dissolved ozone measurement that is accurate over an operating range of 0-50C.

The Q45D features a number of innovative characteristics such as dual line display, interactive user interface, dual alarm, analog outputs and flexible calibration.

This unique instrument allows for easy implementation of loop-powered, line-powered or battery-powered capability within the same instrument.

Air and sample calibration options include temperature, barometric pressure and salinity compensation.

All calibration methods include stability monitoring to check temperature and main parameter stability before accepting data. Request a free brochure from Analytical Technology ...
