Low cost method drill multiple hole patterns fast
An affordable, made to order, fixed pattern multiple spindle heads can increase drilling efficiency many times.
Automatic driller has self-adjusting clamps
An automatic drilling system using self-adjusting work clamps achieved simple and accurate set up for a wide range of materials significantly increased production.
They are now available for both automatic and manual drilling equipment including all common drill presses, Bridgeport and Bridgeport-style milling machines, direct motor mounts and a number of other platforms.
AutoDrill customers have used this equipment to drill off-center and multi-hole drilling processes.
Some use it to prepare for and install corner bracing, hinges, locks, handles, etc One customer who had a large number of oddly shaped parts to drill simply bought an off-set, multi-spindle head with the capability of drilling the bolt pattern on the part.
He then drilled this pattern into the bottom of his part, going around and past a portion that did not allow clearance for traditional drilling machines.
Because the pattern was fixed in the drilling head, the process was extremely accurate, was performed smoothly, safely and quickly from start to finish.
Single spindle drilling of off-center and multiple hole patterns require complicated and costly fixtures or manual steps to drill the hole patterns.
Besides the multiple increase in production there are additional benefits.
Setup and operation errors are virtually eliminated.
On-the-job injury rates are lowered.
Stack-up tolerances are no longer a potential problem and less frequent tool changes are needed.
These gear driven heads are constructed with efficient helical gearing for high spindle speed ratings and less noise.
Full ball and needle bearing construction is used throughout for heavy production operation.
Readily available precision ER style collet chucks are built as part of the spindles.
One-shot grease lubrication is designed into every head for trouble free operation.
AutoDrill manufactures production drilling and tapping equipment.
