Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Oct 23, 2006

An AutoDrill designed system recently helped a customer fabricating doors, custom door hinges and cabinets significantly increase their production.

An AutoDrill designed system recently helped a customer fabricating doors, custom door hinges and cabinets significantly increase their production.

By drilling all the holes on a hinge or door at once using multiple spindle drill heads, they now perform a multi-step operation in a single step.

Additionally, by drilling three areas at one time, they increased the performance of the system even more.

Optional peck or standard drill cycles were incorporated into the custom controls.

The fixture is rated for use on not only wood, but plastics, metals and various other materials and could be used for cabinets, steel doors or other production drilling operations.

AutoDrill offers free application and design assistance.

Free CAD drawings are available for all their equipment.
