Lightweight inverters stud weld up to 16mm

Arcon has announced the next member of the Studhorse range, the Studhorse 1000DM, which, with up to 1,000A of current, is capable of welding from 1/4in (6.25mm) to 5/8in (16mm) studs.

Arcon welders use SCR-based inverter technology in a fibreglass case and are offered with a five-year guarantee against corrosion-related failures.

Designed in 2002, the company's Studhorse 1200DM, 1,200A portable inverter stud welder, has a capability of welding from 1/4in (6.25mm) to 3/4in (19mm), drawn arc, full base studs, in a package of 80lb (36.3kg).
