Put engineers in the picture for CFD
analyses
Leading computational fluid dynamics post-processor visualisation software offers a powerful scripting capability, allowing greater customisation for analysing complex surface flows.
Leading computational fluid dynamics post-processor, Intelligent Light's Fieldview visualisation software now offers a powerful scripting capability, allowing greater customisation for analysing complex surface flows Until now CFD post-processors have been either too visual - lacking the hard data for decision making or too quantitative - lots of numbers but without the benefit of a good visual insight into the problem under analysis

CNC simulation software reduces prove out time for any NC machine tool program, by improving verification through visualising in real-time the whole machining operation - including workholding.
Fieldview 8 aims to get the balance right by giving users the opportunity to customise the software to suit their analysis requirements for each project.
Fieldview 's FVX advanced scripting can be applied to read datasets captured in a variety of ways, create and manipulate surfaces, and perform complex quantitative post-processing tasks.
This enables users to balance the mix of visualisation and quantitative analysis to meet their project needs.
It also allows the engineer to conduct more integrated analyses where previously they may have used two or more post-processing tools.
The Fieldview post processing software is also the first to provide automatic feature detection for shock waves and vortex cores, for example, and surface streamlines (simulated oil flow traces) for structured and unstructured grids; a time-saving feature that also improves the quality of the analysis.
Fieldview 8 is available in the UK from simulation specialist Applied Computing and Engineering.
" Fieldview has established its credentials in the most demanding environments found in aerospace and defence applications.
FVX scripting will allow a higher level of customisation for the analysis of complex flows to the degree engineers' require to meet their particular requirements," said Stewart Allinson, managing director, Applied Computing and Engineering.
Fieldview 8 interfaces with commercially available and specialist in-house codes and runs under Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems.
