Transducer Indication Goes Portable
At last, on the move, transducer indication is a reality! Two new models from Applied Measurements offer the engineer a choice of accuracy and function.
The PD 100 coming in at sub 200.00 (GBP) and weighing only 270gms has a 41/2 digit display and is compatible with most strain gauge based transducers including force, weight, pressure, displacement and torque sensors Configuration is simple via the 5 keys on the front panel; On/Off, Prog, Tare, Reset, and Chan

Rotary torque transducers set price standards
The new range of rotary torque transducers from Applied Measurements provide an economical solution to rotary torque measurement.
It can be factory configured to operate as a single or 16 channel instrument, enabling multiple transducer calibration and reading.
Other features include peak and trough hold and 40 hour battery life.
Input range being 0-0.5mV/V to 0-4.5mV/V.
The high resolution, high accuracy, TR150 is again simple to use with just six key options on the front panel, On/Off, Peak, Trough, Gross/Net, Hold, Shunt/Calibration, Weighing just 260gms, it features a 71/2 digit display as well as low battery warning.
The powerful TR150 offers three calibration options; a once-off auto calibration, entering the cell sensitivity and corresponding display value or, entering of offset and gain for corresponding display values.
Two separate ranges enable two parameters to be accessed at any one time, lbs/kg, tonne/kN: high/low resolution: fast/ slow response etc The menu option enables the engineer to tailor the instrument's response to the actual application.
Input range is up to 50mV/V with accuracy to +/- 0.005%.
An important innovation is the TR 150's power saving facility, this offers up to 5000 hours of battery life when a 350ohm bridge is connected.
For the OEM these indicators can be supplied with a pre-calibrated and NAMAS traceable strain gauge sensor to offer immediate plug and play operation.
Applied Measurements, are experts in the application of innovative strain gauge technology to a very wide range of system solutions.
