A high penetration cutting rate is claimed for the GEN3SYS 29 Series holders and inserts covers drill sizes from 29mm to 32mm as well as including imperial sizes up to 1in diameter.

AMEC has extended its innovative GEN3SYS high penetration rate drilling system, enabling the system's high performance benefits to be used for drilling holes from 12mm up to 32mm diameter.

The Allied Maxcut Engineering Co (AMEC) GEN3SYS 29 Series holders and inserts cover drill sizes from 29mm to 32mm and inch sizes up to 1in diameter.

There is a choice of cutting insert materials of K35 (C1) and K20 (C2) to maintain a high cutting rate, tool life and durability.

The GEN3SYS insert profiles us a novel helical geometry with high axial and radial rakes to provide optimum chip forming with elastic metals, such as low carbon structural steels and alloys, without compromising on chip control when cutting other metals.

The drill system geometries include straight or helical fluted holders.

Through coolant types are available for use on lathes and machining centres.

They provide up to a maximum cutting depth of 7 times the drill diameter.

This latest addition to the GEN3SYS range is also included in AMEC's updated product selector, which is available for download from AMEC Europe's Web site.
