New event: Plastic Bottles 2005

AMI is pleased to announce the launch of its Plastic Bottles 2005 conference.

The Plastic Bottles 2005 conference is a sequel to Blow Moulding 2003 and will cover innovations and trends in blow moulding, branding, aseptic techniques, closures and labelling technologies The conference will look at design and technology developments that are driving today's plastic bottle industry and their implications for the future

The design and decoration for value enhancement topic will be addressed by one of Europe's major blow moulders.

Steve Windelinckx of Amcor PET Packaging will consider new product design and development in the PET packaging Industry.

The decoration theme will be specifically looked into by Sia Memarnia from Fuji Seal Europe in his presentation on the latest developments in plastic bottle transformation.

In this section, there will also be papers from the CEO of Sleever International and from Francesco Ferrari, from ITW Decorative Sleeves.

Davide Turrini from Uniloy Milacron will cover the latest developments in blow moulding processes as part of the technology developments and challenges session, while Frank Haesendonckx from SIG Coroplast will talk about new developments in stretch blow moulding technology.

Other presentations will cover single step bottle production using injection-compression blow moulding (IM-PAK), aseptic bottles for food application (TECHNE) and new filling developments (KRONES AG) Plastic Bottles 2005 will also present a series of papers from the major material suppliers including Borealis, Eastman Specialty Plastics, Ciba, Clariant Masterbatch and Eval Europe, looking at trends and developments in polyolefins and PET materials for blow moulding.

A session dedicated to caps and closures will take place on the second day, including a presentation from Nanetti at SACMI IMOLA on PP Closures in Compression Moulding.

The event will close with an AMI presentation on added value bottle packaging given by John Nash, Strategic Research Manager at AMI.

Plastic Bottles 2005 runs from 15th to 17th February 2005 at the Renaissance Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany.
