Electronics manufacturer gets Queen's
Award
At a ceremony marking Arcotronics' success in the latest Queens Awards, the Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire recognised the value and quality of the company's products.
Arcotronics, the Northamptonshire, UK-based manufacturer of electronic components, has been presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise (International Trade category) At a presentation on 20 October 2005, at Arcotronics' Towcester plant, Lady Juliet Townsend, The Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, told Adrian Flynn, managing director of Arcotronics, that he had: " A very good team, and a winning team." The award was made in recognition of Arcotronics' outstanding achievement in growing its export activities by almost 70% over a two-year period from 2002, in difficult market conditions

Many key personnel present at the award ceremony were introduced to Lady Juliet, representing customers material suppliers and service providers, including Martin Abbotson, now commodity manager with Selex, a recent joint venture between BAE Systems and Finmeccanica Group of Italy, and Jane Waldron of UK trade and Investment.
Pete Evans a key material supplier had flown the Atlantic from Rhode Island to join the celebrations.

The company now has realistic ambitions to become Europe's second-largest supplier of (EMC) filters and to enter the US military equipment market over the coming year.
The company's achievements and ambitions were recognised by Lady Juliet.
