Automated Packaging Systems has appointed an Australian distributor - MPI Australia - one of the country's leading distributors and service providers of packaging machinery.

Automated Packaging Systems (APS) is expanding its international horizons with the appointment of an Australian distributor, MPI Australia Established in 1963, MPI is one of the country's leading distributors and service providers of packaging machinery and solutions, presently supplying over 25 different product lines in support of a diverse marketplace

APS already has a presence in Australia, with a number of customers previously gained through remote selling by the UK and US offices.

APS is the global leader in the supply of integrated bagging solutions, marketed under the Autobag brand, to automate the process of packaging small parts and components and reduce the total cost of the packaging operation.

Renowned for its innovative approach and range of 'bags-on-a-roll' and bagging machinery, APS Autobag products are used for packaging a diverse range of products including automotive, aerospace, electrical, electronic and plumbing parts, domestic appliance spares, hardware and DIY items, medical products as well as plastic, rubber, wood and paper products.

The synergy between APS and MPI was obvious.

"Both companies are committed to providing total packaging solutions - not just hardware and consumables," said APS' managing director, Ian Dovey.

"MPI's biggest Autobag customer is a significant manufacturer of electrical sockets and switches".

"It has already purchased two AB 180 bagging systems to pack its products for retail sale".

" Both companies recognised the opportunity for further developing the potential of the Autobag range in Australia".

"Our new partnership was an obvious solution." In addition to enhancing MPI's product range, APS, renowned for the reliability of the Autobag machinery and service, will provide full technical, service and sales support, alongside MPI's existing sales and service team.

There will also be an Autobag presence at the AusPack show in Sydney, Australia in October where an AB 180 and PI 412c print and pack system will feature on MPI's exhibition stand.

MPI will have access to the full Autobag range.

The company presently has one product manager in Sydney dedicated to the brand and a salesman in each of the Melbourne and Brisbane offices selling the products.

APS identified greater potential within the Australian market and is fully committed to further development.

Russell, concluded: "Our partnership with a highly regarded international bagging systems manufacturer such as APS adds a new dimension to our range of products and services".

" It will allow us to provide more companies throughout Australia with a total packaging solution using some of the very best machinery available".

"Like Automated Packaging Systems we aim to provide top quality, high productivity and cost effective solutions to practical packaging problems". Request free introductory details about products from Automated Packaging Systems ...
