Autodesk Campus License allows for the installation of 100 or more licenses in educational settings - permitting access to Autodesk state of the art design tools.
Autodesk has announced the launch of the new Autodesk Campus program, a dedicated program for educational settings, which allows the installation of 100 or more licenses for an annual fee The program permits access to a range of Autodesk software covering all main design requirements in educational settings, ranging from classic AutoCAD to dedicated tools such as Autodesk Inventor for industrial design, Autodesk Revit for architecture, and Autodesk Map 3D or Autodesk Civil 3D for GIS and civil engineering applications

The Autodesk Campus license will enable educational institutions to vary their license mix over the course of the academic year by first specifying the number of seats required and then simply activating or deactivating new license software as their educational needs evolve, using a "communicating vessels" model.
This means that Autodesk Campus licenses are not acquired but are instead supplied in accordance with the Autodesk Subscription license, which is based on an all inclusive annual fee.

This in turn allows for simpler and more transparent software management that enables various departments to cooperate in such a way as to avoid duplicate or overlapping license acquisition.
Autodesk Campus also allows teachers more leeway for experimentation with various uses of Autodesk and AutoCAD software without having to acquire new licenses.

However, Autodesk Campus permits more efficient intra-institutional cooperation in terms of software license and version management.
