Two That Get Along Very Well
AutoManager Meridian can flexibly manage revisions, carry out workflow support for projects or single documents and save documents using a locker concept.
In cooperation with Cyco Software and Betagraphics, an interface has been developed for the communication between the Auto-Manager Meridian from Cyco and the high-end planning software Elcad/Aucoplan for electrical and process engineering plants from Aucotec Aucotec has for some time been offering an automated interface for coupling Elcad/Aucoplan to various EDM systems

Usually the Aucotec service department is also in charge of this coupling on the customer's premises; this includes an intensive cooperation with the EDM supplier as well as a task analysis, the installation and instruction of the users.
The special feature of the interface for Meridian is that it can immediately be used as standard solution and that the projects can be managed directly in the Meridian database.
Cyco specializes in EDM solutions for data management that accelerate the market launch of products and reduce the administrative costs.

With the new interface, Meridian creates a PDF file either for every single page of an Elcad documentation or else for the complete electrical documentation of a facility.
Thus the documents developed in Elcad can be managed with the Cyco's EDM system spanning several departments or companies - in combination with the Aucotec viewing tool even without Elcad license.
Moreover the interface supports editing with respect to release and version management.
In addition one can store meta data for the project description read directly from Elcad.
